Character Information

Codename:
Felix

Real name: Isaac Gates

Physical description: Tall and slender, Felix has a "speedster" build and a flamboyant fighting style. His hand-to-hand combat normally involves high-kicks, back-flips and a focus on knife attacks.

Personality: Quick witted, greedy, violent, sarcastic, passionate, vain. He loves expensive things, including guns, clothes, food and cars, and likes to look good.

History:  [contains spoilers] Born during the Great War (2525-2553) Felix became a soldier defending humanity from aliens. He fell in with another soldier, Locus, and the two became an unstoppable duo, brains and brawl ensuring their survival. After the war they became bounty hunters, until one job went completely to hell with the bounty's police record having been wiped clean after they had captured him. Now guilty of kidnapping an "innocent" man, Felix suggested that they ransom him back to his gangster father.  A shoot-out in an abandoned quarry sealed their fate, and the pair became mercenaries. Locus struggled his guilt and experiences of the war, becoming emotionally distant, and Felix encouraged that, knowing that Locus was the better and stronger soldier.

Felix's manipulation of his friend evolved over a significant period of time, and while the two clearly have very different methods and personalities, they are very close and rely on each other to survive.

During the events of the Chorus Trilogy, Felix and Locus worked for Charon Industries, stirring the flames of a civil war in order to clear a planet of it's inhabitants and take the alien technology for their employer. This put them into direct conflict with the Reds and Blues. Felix spent some time undercover as their ally, giving them bad intel and stirring trouble between the two sides, painting Locus as an enemy.

Unfortunately, things begin to go wrong for Felix and Locus, and their bond began to break down. Locus is manipulated by alien technology into believing Felix is afraid of him, and Felix grows ever more exasperated with their inability to defeat the Reds and Blues. Eventually, Locus realises he no longer wants to be involved in the death of innocent people, and wants to leave Chorus and their work unfinished. Felix is unable to let go, desperate to kill their enemies and finish the job they are being paid for.

Felix is killed by a grenade thrown by the Reds and Blues, while Locus stands by.

Headcanons:
  • Felix and Locus have often slept together
  • Felix' home world was destroyed during the Great War
  • Felix can fly most forms of ship, but Locus always mocked his driving
